1. Boys & Girls Club

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs provide 2,100 school-age children with programs dedicated to ensuring that Charlotte's disadvantaged youth have quality programs and services that will shape their futures. Among the club units, two are located in Charlotte Housing Authority sites and one club is located in a homeless shelter.

2. Crisis Assistance Ministry

Crisis Assistance Ministry provides emergency financial aid to help Mecklenburg County residents avoid eviction and utility disconnection. Last year, the agency helped more than 16,500 families stay in their homes, with the lights on.

4. Salvation Army

The Center of Hope homeless shelter is Charlotte's only 24/7 emergency shelter for homeless women and children. On any given night, more than 300 women and children come to the Center of Hope seeking a bed, food, and safety.
